If you are going to Nogales after 7th year extension, even if you get 3 years of h1, Nogales consulate gives visa for 1 year.
I have talked to Visa Officer he refused to give me for 3 years and he told me that it is the policy of Nogales consulate.

Hi,
My lawyer says i can join company B as soon as USCIS has received my application for H1B transfer? is this true or do we have to wait for receipt number/case number?
I need to know this because my company will not file I-485 until i join them but under the current backlog CSC is having a huge backlog with receipting H1B transfer cases.

It looks staged, the way camera moves to audience before they change their expressions, and captures the falling gum balls from the bottom of jars. Even the expressions or audience are so exaggerated.
Also the numbers he is reporting might be cooked by himself with no proof or source provided where he took his numbers from.
Despite that, the argument he is provinding, itself should be given to support more immigration.
Population of all developed countries is in decline. So they are encouraging young people from other countries to support their economies. Now with so many baby boomers starting to retire, the working population of USA is not just stabilizing as he chose to say but going to decline. To support the US economy it needs young people to immigrate so that the baby boomers like himself can keep getting their social security checks in mail. So his argument is not persuasive enough to people who know better. But the problem is most people who don't know enough about immigration or economy can easily be brainwashed to become anti-immigration with this kind of pseudologic hogwash.

I am new to this forum. Just registered myself. I hv a question if u guys can help. I got an RFE for I485 for employment verification. Lawyer says he sent the employer verification letter with his signature instead of employers bec employer has given him authorization to do so. can anyone do like this. does this pose a problem for my I485 approval. Hi-
My spouse recently started working on F1 OPT. She also got her H1 approved (port of entry was requested and not change of status). H1 was through lottery to start from oct upon stamping. Suddenly our PD moved forward and we will file 485 next month.
We are going to India in dec. By that time we should get our AP. My question is does my wife need to go for H1 stamp or can she enter using her AP and keep H1 status. Both of us have different employers. Her 485 will be filed as my dependant.
Secondly - I will also get a new EAD. Can I work second part time job using that ead while maintaining my permanent job using H1?

I have a request / concern / what ever you would say.
Please do not cirtize if you do not like the idea, just ignore and leave the thread.
There are so many people comming to IV for other experts guidance on different things mainly on H1B status, AC21 status, AP, FP, EAD and H4 to EAD, .....
Why don't you create a general guide lines or rules or do's and don't or QA's for each topic, so that each member or visitor who come to IV can atleast go through them before asking or posting quesitons.
You can create a survery for different kinds of questions people / members / visitors might ask or have fore each topic before creating the thread so that we can have a pool of questions and answers for each topic from experts or attorney answered. (you might say we have recordings from attorney Prashanti Reddy, but it would be good if we have some thing which can be referred easily i.e., typed.
These are just some of my thoughts, it can or cannot be implemented. It depeneds on IV admins/Gurus/Experts on this forum.
Gurus, please provide your thoughts.

My birth was regiestered under totally different first name, also DOB is off by 9 days (10th June instead of 1st June). Since the birth is registered they are not issueing non-availability cert. . What to do?
I have both parents affidavits, school leaving cert, 10th class cert, PAN card showing date/place same as that in passport. Filing a civil case in India is the option but it could take more than a year. since my PD is Sep04, my 485 could be processed within months.
and post your question in the birth certificate thread that is already up and running. We have too many threads with the same information and just adds to the confusion.

I�m in EB2 and My I-140 was approved on March 2009 through Employer A. After which I moved to India and now am back (Nov 2010) with Employer B. My old Employer A has my apporved I-140.
It would be great if I get answer the below my Question:
1. Can I apply for I-485 with my new employer B based on my approved 140?? OR
2. Do I need to go back to my old employer A to apply my I-485. If yes is there any specific time period to go back to my old employer A.

Questions:
1. Will I need a new H1-B? If so, for how many years will I get it?
2. When I apply for a new PERM, will PD of Dec 2007 still be valid?
