Yes! I have my H1-B Case Filing Receipt Notice with EAC number.
I see the same message (as you posted) when I tried to see the status first time around Mid Nov. I thought it may take few days or a week to appear online (based on the past). But, same message till now!!
Something is not linked right and may be due to some upgrade USCIS were doing in last few months. Not Sure!!!

I have a question for people who get fingerprinting notices to be done at San Antonio, Texas.
Do you people know of any childcare facilities that exist around that place to drop off toddlers during the finger printing process (I am not sure if they allow kids during fingerprinting).

Currently working for ABC company with L1B visa, which expiring in Dec 19th 2008 and i am here in USA now along with my dependents.
But this year i got my H1B approval and having my documents, as my filing was done from India, i do not have I-94 at this time.
My quires are.
1. Do i need to go for stamping in Canada or Mexico
2. Can i work for company B with my H1B approval
3. To start my new job, do my employer should change my status
4. If going for stamping do my dependents also should join me.
Actually i have very short time to make my plans , please help in finding solutions for all my quires.

I have an entirely different opinion than what is mentioned above; so please read carefully:
I understand that you are currently working on L1B visa and want to switch to H1b from Dec 19th. Your H1 petition is already approved.
1. If your H1 approval notice (form I 797) has I-94 attached to it, that means it came with CHANGE OF STATUS. In that case you can simply start working from the start date mentioned on attached I 94 (will need new I 9 filed with employer; showing the change of status from that date as well).
Now, your dependents will need to be on H4 status. Was their change of status filed along with your H1? If so and they all have H4 approval notice with attached I 94; they are ok and none of you need to go out of US for visa stamping.
If you or your family do not have change of status (and therefore no attached I 94), change of status can even be filed now from within US; if that was not filed with original H1 petition; But you must file it before you can start working on H1.
Another option is to go to Canada or Mexico for stamping for yourself and the family members; this is especially a good option if your education is from within US (something they can verify); if not they can ask you to go back to India to do so.
So all depends on two things:
1. Does your H1 approval notice have I 94 attached to it? what is the start date on that I 94?
2. Do all your family members have H4 approval notice along with I 94 attached?

Advanced degree = MS and higher
Generally STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Math all fall under Science/Engineering colleges. Anthing out of this college including MBA, MA, Accountancy, Marketing etc are not included in STEM.
Are you getting this from official sources? I think Accountancy, Marketing and so on would qualify as long as the degree is a Master of Science.

I got an approval in March 2007 and status still says 'the notice that USCIS sent was returned as undeliverable". As I guess approval notice was sent to my employer's old address and so returned. My employer got address changed and sent request to Nebraska Service Centere to resent the documents, but documents not received yet. Still waiting.

You should act fast and call NSC ASAP to see why the notice was not resent. I hope this situation doesn't affect our I-485s sent on 2nd July when the I-140 was pending. (It was approved on 7/18)

I have registered on USCIS website for I-485, AP and EAD. When I logged on today I saw last updated date modified to 11/25/2007.
Email notification for all the registerd cases is turned on. I did not receive any email notification for the updates
Just wondering if some one else in the same boat not receiving emails.
I have given my hotmail email ID, if that matters ?

It does work and they only send an email for a hard LUD (when there is a material change in status).

Hi all,
Recently I recieved a RFE on ability to pay regarding my I-140.
I started working with a company in July 2006 and applying for I-140 in Nov 2006 with an existing labor of Nov 2004. My company is in losses all the time but I am getting more than proffered wage since I joined. Recently I received RFE regarding ability to pay and my attorney replied for it. Yesterday I received Intent to Deny notice as there is no evidence that company can pay me in 2005.
Please suggest me any options that I can do

If Priority date is usable even though I-140 revoked by the employer......this looks fantastic option to join new job where we can get Eb2 process.

EAD/AP is personal choice. Employer can only govern what he has under his control - which is LC and I-140. He cannot chose to not allow EAD or AP, and you are not obliged to inform him. Good employers sponsor everything and the rest dont. But legally (i am not a lawyer though), they cannot do anything with you if you apply for EAD and keep it as a backup. Yes, if you chose to use your EAD to do extra work in addition to your employer's it may come against company policy. But if you intend to just keep it as a backup, there is nothing wrong..
Go to USCIS efile website and file it on your own (EAD and AP).

My I485 was filed at TSC and received date is July 26,2007 and notice date is sept 19,2007. MY EAD and AP and other finger prints are done after two months of filed. Now processing times for TSC shows they are working on Aug 08, 2007 filers. In this case cane youguys advice me on following things?
1. Is it good to take Info pass appointment and go for office before end of this month (as it is going to retrogress) and find out status? Before info pass do i need to get any other enquiry?
2. Processing dates for TSC-I485 shows Aug 08, 2007. Is this date recevied date or I485-Notice date?
3.Does Info-pass enquiry cause any negative effects on my I485 processing?
4. Any other guys in the same boat and what you guys are doing?

i have applied for AP 3 months back for myself (primary) and my wife. we got wife's AP 3 weeks back. not even LUD on mine. so i faxed expedite request on Jan26th.
Got a letter 2 days back saying,
' this aknowledges ur expedite fax. we have been unable to locate any record of a decision made on ur case. if u desire, u can file a duplicate application'.
they asked to send dup application with a 'Attention: Do not open in mailroom, deliver to co-ord supervisor'.
they also enclosed an bright orange letter for expedite proc and asked me to place on top.
the header of this orange letter reads 'Attachment 4: NSC has determined that ur appl previously submitted cannot be located :-( therefore u r requested to file a duplicate'.
im guessing in the pile of apps, they couldnt fetch mine :-(
i kinda ignored this letter and been preparing for H1 stamping back home. took VFS appointment, plane tix, what not.

so i am guessing they located my application and started working on it.
