Since more people have Intel based Macs, than Macs with Blu-ray burners built in, it would be nice if maybe they prioritized on a Universal version instead...
There is already a universal version.
Maybe the software, but the drive itself may be only compatible with Blu-Ray rather than HD-DVD.
The original poster is talking about support in general. The original summary incorrectly states that Apple is preferring Blu-Ray over HD-DVD, when in reality they're in both camps.

I called the Applestore before ordering and was told it shipped with the new headphones. I'm going to complain if it comes with the old ones because that is the excuse I used to justify ordering the Shuffle. I had just recieved a Nano as a gift the month before but wanted to upgrade the buds.
I just called Apple (after recieveing my old-style earbuds with my shuffle) and the rep told me that the orginal plan was to ship them with the new style buds, but that "Apple changed it's mind about this" and decided last week to ship then with the old-style ones.
I was like what the hell - thanks for telling those of us that preordered that we would be getting the same crappy headphones that I already have 5 pairs of....

Congrats to the four new Mods. I think it's safe to say they're all universally respected members of the forum and are great choices.
With MR becoming ever more popular it has become harder to effectively moderate these boards, especially with the international flavour we've got going on here! I'm sure the new Mods will do a great job and will keep the MR community spirit going. Congrats again guys :)

I use AIM and Gmail with iChat. It works fine. I never chat with my .mac account.
What if the rumored mapping or phone stuff that might be part of Leopard is only for .Mac users?
.Mac users can call people from their computers or get .Mac Earth or something similar.
Also, iCal needs to go online (add, edit, etc. from the Internet), storage needs to go way up, etc.
Give me something AOL and Google don't.
AOL just announced something that allows you to back up 5GB of data. .Mac gives you 1 GB. AOL is free, .Mac costs $99. I understand there are other features, but AOL has most of them too. It's not worth the $$ until some major improvements happen.

There are 2 versions: the console version and the arcade machine version.
The console one is terrible.
I can tell you that the Arcade version is spot on! Did not try the 2600 version. Hopefully Intellivision releases something similar, so I can play B-17 Bomber and Advanced D&D

Not trying to speak for sun baked, but compared to the other additions to the mod list, you are one that stands out the most. Maybe both in a positive and negative way (though there are many other members here that fit in the negative category). To be honest I don't remember seeing the other new UK mod and their postings.
Even as a mini mod, you have to have a thick skin. And as a mod you have to lead by example.
To be honest there may be those out there that are gunning for you. Waiting for you to "slip up". In the end the powers that be at MR have chosen you to be part of the select few. And that speaks volumes.
And I for one welcome you to that new group. Though I may not always have agreed with your "macros", your heart was in the right place. Good luck, and I hope you enjoy the added responsibilities. This coming from one that has done mod work in the past.

My guess is RAM is your biggest issue. I run 1GB in the system in my sig, and while that is adequate in OSX Tiger you're best off maxing the memory.
