Hi,
I just got my H1B visa and I am working. My wife is currently on F-1/OPT. We are both in the USA. Could you please advise me what is the required documents/steps to apply for her for H4 visa? are there any inf on the web? can I do that myself?

Like PMAT mentioned, I-539 is to be used, and you can do it by yourself, if you'd like. Download the latest form from http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/ (immigration forms).
You will need, I-129, photocopy of your passport, your I-94 (current), Photocopy of Marriage certificate.

Can the work experience without H1B be countable when you apply for I140 (EB2, BS + 5yrs ) ?
I kept my part time job about 3 yrs while I was working as a full timer at other companies. But the problem is I was getting paid but didn't file H1B as a part timer. I know that I should have filed for H1B but I just had a H1B as a full timer with my other company. If I can count my part time work experience ( 3yrs part time / 2 = 1.5 yrs as full time) along with my full time experience (3.7 yrs), It exceeds 5 yrs of related work experience that requires for EB2.

Hello all,
I am a student on an I20/M1 vis
I have just recieved a new I20, and sent a form I 539 for extension of my I20.
I have my old I94, I20 etc.
It is currently under processing.
First, is there any way they can move it to another processing center? Its in the vermont center right now, and they are still processing documents from May 2008 according to CIS website.
Second, my original I94 is valid till 14 April 2009 but my original I20 is expired.
My visa is 5 years(M1 valid to 2013)
Can I go and visit my home country with the old I94(since its valid long enough) and new I20(which just got issued)??
or do I need to wait until the processing comes through?

I am trying to get a green card for the US. My parents are from east asia and I was born in Canada. I went to University in Maryland from 1992-96 and obtained my dental license. I am licensed in the US and intend to purchase a dental office soon. I will still be keeping my dental office in Canada for at least 1 year once I am able to work in the US. I heard about a investment visa however I am not investing more than $400k but it will employ at least 4 US nationals(ctizens). Can I still use the investment visa or can I get a visa for opening a secondary dental office in the US and still keep my existing office in Canada until I qualify for a green card. nope. not at all. if you want a camera that takes short video clips almost all of the consumer level point and shoot cameras take a video clip with sound and all of them no mater the quality of camera shoot at 640x480 resolution at 30 frames per second. all told they are kinda fun to use and most will shoot for however long your media card allows before running out of space on a 2 gig card you can figure about 30 minutes worth. and also for the video feature some of the low end 100 dollar cameras take just as good quality video as the upper level ones. in fact in my case my wife owns a samsung dig cam that is under 100 bucks and it outperforms my canon digital elph in video for the reason that the lens on hers can zoom in and out opticly while recording my 250 dollar digital elph can zoom opticly before the record button is pushed but once you start recording it will zoom but only digitally which makes for low quality at 640x480 resolution. so i say buy the d40x or the canon rebel xti and then buy a point and shoot camera for the video clips. hope this steers you in the right direction.

I am new to IV. I am just wondering whether we have ever emphasized on bifurcation of Immigration Bill or call for a interim law to facilitate legal immigrant's issues ( mainly retro victims) -
Our problems are very basic and do not have sociopolitical or economical strings attached to it (Probably works better for economy as lot of us are holding on to buy houses and other big budget stuff).
The main issue I have is
- Unable to change jobs
I can wait for GC but not being able to change jobs is hurting me most.
Employers do not find projects and do not pay on bench. Once you find a project Employer wants a big cut. All in the name of policy ;) .
Please share your thoughts.

I filed my I-485 in July 07 at Nebraska service center and my wife had her finger printing done a month or so ago but I am yet to get the notice. Is there some number I can call and check. My Lawyer is very uncooperative in this case.

Is your 485 also denied? Most of the times when ever 140 is denied then the underlying 485 also gets denied and if that is the case then you cannot apply or extend for EAD or AP until your appeal is pending with AAO. I may be wrong so consult an attorney.
