yeah I can see his point.
However there will be efforts to make it like a pc through accessorizing the device
not really.
It is a PC just the interface is changed.
RIM with QNX and their tablet "COULD" have the ability to distribute computing across them all over a wlan connection.
Apple could evolve the iPad to a central control for house appliances remotely and also become ubiquitous to anywhere we use paper! I'm hoping universities along with iTunes U consider this immensely - but with XServe gone on the back end with OS X Lion possibly also being dumbed down this may never happen. Tuition fees could drop considerably while students enjoy the work load annotating the work, submitting documents in PDF digitally signed and on record via a local or wireless sync to an FTP site (GoodReader).

Apple should've held out on the refresh to include USB 3 and even HDMI. Thunderbolt and the is currently useless.
agreed the apple store person was like you can transfer a 5GB movie in 10 seconds but I was like transfer to what? But there is a new LaCie hard drive coming in the summer :D but it would be great to have that sort of connectivity in the new iphone. It is also annoying that there is no 3.0?.....

My old Trek 930 mountain bike is one of the last Treks made in the US before they outsourced most of their production overseas. For a replacement I am looking into US-made bikes.
I have a Japanese car (made in Japan), my previous car was Japanese but made in the US.
I try to buy US-made when I can, and in particular I like to support local or regional products. But at the same time I don't feel guilty about buying foreign-made products. You don't have to be obsessive about "buying American" in order to make a help support domestic producers of goods.

DisplayPort to HDMI cables that support both audio and video are quite inexpensive from many online sources. I use one from my iMac to my 40" LCD TV and the DP port takes up a good bit less space than an HDMI port would (which can be important for a portable device).

Again, those are majorities singling out a minority. You don't expect a group of hispanic men to jump a korean man if there's more korean's than hispanic's on the street corner. Likewise, blacks are the majority in a black ghetto. It's just that, when you look at the country as a whole, they are the minority.
Ok. What about a white woman walking through a white neighbor hood. Passes a hispanic man who beats her because she is white.
Not racist?

5 years ago Apple was pushing open standards with no licensing require (ie, zeroconf) and no one would buy in. Now they offer a standard with a fraction of the capability and charge for it and everyone wants it.

Could be they made many more Verizon models. Could also be that ATT models are being bought for resale overseas. Nothing wrong with that, which is what the OP was implying, I think..
Nah. You put too much thought into his post. He's just saying that the people who bought Verizon iPads are stupid.

Unfortunately, her PC only has a CD drive, so I cannot do that. I will look into getting Dave. I'm buying extra Ethernet cables anyway, to network all the computers and the DSL modem.
Voicegy -
If an Apple store would do it, then I'll buy from them.
Pianojoe -
If I had a firewire hard drive, that would be my first choice. Unfortunately, I don't, and I don't have enough other uses for it to justify buying one.
Everyone -
Thanks for all the help.

It's not. That is exactly what I have said in every post since the start. You are the one who said that a 200mm EF lens would produce a different image than a 200mm EF-s lens when mounted on the same camera. That is the quote is a complete sentence from your post. It is 100% wrong. You are not saying something completely different to what you were saying. It is not "out of context". There is no context in which that sentence contains correct information.
Re-read THIS POST....YOUR post.
You agree, then you disagree with the exact same statement

While I obviously think this prediction is just a load of crap, I would NOT mind a larger screen on the iPhone. Not too big to comfortably carry in a pocket or hold up to my ear. A 4.5" would be nice, I think. Definitely not a nano-sized phone.

How about no driving tax. How about we tax people appropriately and get rid of crap like business tax incentives and farm subsidies since they're only ever abused by people that 'play the game'.
Why should we be screwing over regular people so much.
I agree with the first half of your post, but the "regular people" need to stop trying to blame the government for their problems. If they have a crappy life or can't afford something they think they need, it probably isn't because they are overtaxed.

Personally, I so wish that was true. But in reality, not all fat persons eat meat, and not all skinny people are vegetarians.
You can be a vegan and still stuff yourself full with carbonates, sugar and lots of different fats.
While I agree Steve Jobs don't strike me as a half a** kinda guy. Not a I don't eat meat I just eat bread and cheese vegetarian. Vegans are usually all in. All vegans that I know (and that is not nearly representative sample) are very frail looking. Many of whom looked normal before changing their diet.

Not a plug... but.... petrolprices.com tells me what the prices are around my post code.
Friday's were: 128.9p for 95RON Unleaded and 131.9p for 98/99RON (Which I use).
That's a pretty nifty site. Turns out where I usually get my petrol was the cheapest nearby, but good for when I am away from home and need to find somewhere.

I say this all the time, but I still have " A Film state of mind". In that, I mean I shoot like I still use film. I pre-vision what I want to convey onto "film", thus it slows up my shooting. I guess all the $$$$ I spent on developing and such (buying a CoolScan IV ED scanner, etc to get it onto the computer) sticks with me.
Previsualization is the most under rated aspect to photography, you're never going to be much of a photographer if you simply don't have a clear and concise vision of what you want the final print to come out like before you start shooting, this includes what post processing you're going to be doing.
