After ending her rocky marriage, Jennifer Lopez is now enjoying some smooth sailing.

The American Idol judge took to the high seas in Miami yesterday as she celebrated her 42nd birthday with friends and family aboard the 122-foot Oceanfast super yacht Never Say Never.

Showing her estranged husband Marc Anthony exactly what he's missing, the danced around the deck in a flowing white skirt, Pucci bikini top and matching headscarf.

She took to Twitter later that day, writing: 'Thank you all of my lovers for the birthday wishes! I’m having an amazing day surrounded by family and friends.'

While she was clearly doing her best to be upbeat, she later appeared solemn as she stole a few moments alone.

Lopez is holidaying with an entourage of 16 which includes her mother Guadalupe, sister, stylist and manager Benny Medina.

Her 3-year-old twins with Anthony, Emme and Max, are also understood to have accompanied her on the trip.

The night before, the group dined at at Scott Conant's restaurant, Scarpetta, inside the Fontainebleau hotel.

'When they brought out her birthday cake after the meal, she began to sing,' an insider tells People magazine.

'She was very happy. The whole group had a blast, staying for hours. They closed down the restaurant.'

The star is in town to begin work on her new movie What To Expect When You're Expecting.

Lopez and Anthony announced the end of their seven year marriage on July 12.

The relationship is said to have been plagued by 'horrible fights' with sources alleging that Anthony was a 'controlling and jealous' husband.

'They just couldn't get along any more and it made them both miserable,' a source said.

'They decided it's best to go their separate ways for the sake of their two kids.'

Lopez and Anthony began their relationship just three weeks after her very high profile engagement to Ben Affleck was called off in January 2004.

In June that same year, they said 'I do' in a secret ceremony at her lavish Beverly Hills home.

Although ‘On The Floor’ singer Jennifer recently announced her split from third husband Marc, father of her three-year-old twins, Max and Emme, he is reportedly determined to get her back and is planning to draw out their divorce as long as possible in order to make her change her mind.
A source told US Weekly: “His mood shifts from blaming her to begging her to take him back to telling her she is destroying his life.
“He’s being difficult on every little point. He wants to prolong things so she reconsiders.”
However the ‘American Idol’ judge has no plans to reconcile with Marc, according to a pal who said: “She is very happy. She is surrounded by love.”
Jennifer, 42, has previously revealed and her singer spouse were struggling to get the right balance between work and family life.
She said: “It’s getting increasingly harder. When we were first married, most of the time, and even before the babies were born, we were able to go everywhere together. I wasn’t working as much. So we kind of had that. I went on tour with him a few times in the first few years of our marriage, and we did a film together. It’s hard, and we’re figuring it out. It’s tough.
“And everything is ramping up in a way. Like I said, we had the first three years of our marriage just for us. I wasn’t working, it was mainly about him. Then we got pregnant. Then it became about the kids. And then I started working again.”
